The University of Canberra is located in Australia’s capital and its 120 hectare bush campus is located inside the city. The University prides itself on its quality teaching. It has about 10,000 students, including over 1,000 international students from 80 countries. It is truly multicultural as is Canberra which hosts the nation’s embassies. There are many attractions such as the Australian Museum, Parliament, the Science Museum and many beautiful parks. Canberra is also close to Sydney and the Blue Mountains for weekend getaways.
The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Business and Government, Information Science and Engineering, Law, Education and Community Studies, Professional Communications, Design and Architecture, Health Science and Resources, Environmental and Heritage Sciences among other offerings. Where better to study Government than in the heart of Australia’s Government.
The University has lots of on-campus accommodation and if you want to live off-campus, the International Student Advisor will help you locate safe, affordable accommodation. The Advisor will also help with establishing banking, health insurance and other settling-in needs. The campus has a Health Centre, a gym, a library, a new National Media Centre and a new Allied Health Building. There are also facilities to meet the needs of students from diverse religions. Best of all, the University of Canberra has a terrific record in placing its graduates into employment.
