Description: Founded in 1962 by Rex Morgan AM, M.B.E. Pittwater House Schools is an independent, twin school campus for boys and girls offering all the advantages of single-sex education with none of the disadvantages. Located on Sydney's Northern Beaches in an exclusive residential area, 23km north of the CDB, it boasts some of Sydney's best beaches and parkland and is renowned for its clean air, easy bus transport and wonderful lifestyle.

Facilities: Pittwater House provides excellent facilities for all subjects including tutorial rooms, science laboratories, library resources and the computer centre.

Pittwater House also offers an ongoing programme of Australian cultural and sporting activities, English language assistance, career counseling, tertiary placement assistance and pastoral care from experienced counselors and senior members of staff.

The school offers a wide programme of extra curricular activities including 15 different sports, cultural activities such as music, drama, public speaking, debating, dance, arts and crafts. One of the most popular activities is the adventure training programme through the school's Cadet Unit.

A feature of Pittwater House is every student's opportunity to spend a week living in an historic rural setting as part of the Country Life Scheme.

The School campus is well resourced with up to date technology. There are Junior and Senior Computer centres equipped with the latest Macintosh computers, scanners, colour printers and CD-Roms. There are also laboratories for physics, chemistry, geology, biology and general science and specialist areas for Technological and Applied Studies, Food Technology, photography, the Junior and Senior libraries (which co-ordinate a video network between the classrooms) and the well-equipped music department. Musicians make use of the Great Hall, its concert grand piano, pipe organ and a range of instruments that are available for hire.

Sports facilities on campus include a Rugby/cricket playing field, all-weather tennis/basketball/netball courts and a heated short-course Olympic pool.

Accommodation: Homestay accommodation is available in family homes in the local area. Alternatively an off campus lodge, Pittwater Lodge is a small, fully supervised boarding facility located 1.5km from the campus. It is operated by Pittwater House for international students.

Fees: 2004 - Preschool $8 800 for 5 days, Kindergarten $8 000 and Form 7 $9940
