Description: The Charles Darwin University is the major tertiary education institution in the Northern Territory and is unique in that it offers both higher education and vocational studies. In addition the University has a full range of postgraduate courses and a strong research focus.
The student population of over 14,000 is made up of local, interstate and a growing number of international students. Darwin City is the capital of the Northern Territory, with a population of over 120,000 people representing over 60 different nationalities making it the most culturally diverse city in Australia. The city is modern and young - half of the residents are under thirty - and is well serviced by an international airport and good road links to other capital cities.
