Teaching Periods: 9 terms a year in 5 week modules
Description: La Trobe University Language Centre has taught English to students from around the world since 1974. The Language Centre offers individuals a full range of courses, including General English, Business English, English for Further studies, Professional Communication and English for High School Preparation. The EFS course prepares students for entry to undergraduate and postgraduate study. On satisfactory completion of the course, students will have met English language entry requirements of La Trobe University.
Facilities: Our Melbourne campus is situated thirty-five minutes from dynamic Melbourne's CBD. The Centre is on a 200 hectare parkland University campus, where our students can join a rich life of study, sport and recreation. Our reputation is based on our professional staff, care for students, up-to-date facilities, and continual re-investment in resources, facilities and staff development. Students have access to university facilities such as the library, medical centre, counselling services, swimming pool and cinema. Accommodation for students is available in dormitories on campus and in home stays with Australian families.
Services: During the students’ stay they can access La Trobe University’s services of accommodation placement, airport arrival service, academic counselling, bi-lingual counselling, welfare counselling and medical services.
