Teaching Periods: Courses commence at various times of the year and range from 4 to 48 weeks.
Description: Located within the beautiful campus of the University of Notre Dame, Australia, the NDILC is a friendly and vibrant centre with a staff of well-qualified and experienced teachers. The centre's small class sizes mean students receive the individual attention they need in order to reach their goals successfully within the shortest possible time.
The NDILC, located in the heart of Fremantle, has the unique quality of being part of a 'Town University'. Present and past merge into a rich mix of cultures and traditions typical of the older university towns of Europe. Strolling through arcades and streets bursting with markets, coffee shops and restaurants specialising in all styles of cuisine and within reach of some of the best beaches in Australia, it is easy to see why the University's founders chose such a magnificent location for the beautiful campus. Fremantle is an ideal location for study and recreation.
NDILC is fully administered and operated by Phoenix Academy on the Notre Dame International (NDI) campus. NDI is responsible for the international operations of The University of Notre Dame Australia and is managed by Phoenix Acadfemy. Phoenix also operates a second language centre in West Perth, 10 minutes from the Perth CBD and 25 minutes from Fremantle.
Students can choose from a wide range of courses including, General English, Cambridge Examination Courses (FCE, CAE, BEC), Internships, International Business English, Academic English Certificates (IELTS) (TOEIC), Short Course Training Programs, English for Recreation Programs and University Foundation Studies.
Facilities: The NDILC has a wide range of facilities for students including an Interactive Language Laboratory, Computer Laboratory with complimentary email and BroadBand Internet connection, Restaurant on campus, modern air-conditioned classrooms and access to university facilities.
Services: NDILC provides a range of services and information for international students including: pre-arrival information, course advice, airport meet and greet service, accommodation placement, social and recreation activities, local community liaison, counselling service, a comprehensive orientation program to assist students with information on housing, health insurance, study skills, banking, student advisory services, Perth transport services and campus familiarisation, assistance with Health Cover and any other administrative or personal matters international students may require help with.
Entry Criteria: Examination Courses (Cambridge FCE, CAE, BEC Vantage, Academic English, Demi Pair Program, Internship Program) - pre-requisite English requirements apply.
Fees: $150 enrolment fee. $295 tuition per week. Specialist course fees apply to some courses.
