Description: The Griffith Graduate School of Management has a reputation as one of Australia's leading providers of management education and research. The School makes a significant contribution to management development not only through its acclaimed management programs, but also through its research, consultancy activities, and executive programs.

Facilities: The Graduate School of Management (GSM) at Griffith University offers management education, research, consultancy and advisory services drawing on expertise from more than 200 staff. The Graduate School of Management's programs are conducted by leading academics who have strong connections with businesses, governments and other enterprises. They are complemented by distinguished adjunct and honorary staff and other prominent visiting specialists.

Services: Master of Business Administration
The original Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is designed to provide graduates from any background who have at least two years of work experience, with a fine appreciation of management and business. The program includes components as staging posts: the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (4 courses) and the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration (8 courses), as well as the full MBA (12 courses) and MBA Advanced (16 courses). The MBA with Distinction is awarded to the most outstanding students. The Master of Business Administration (Honours) (12 courses) includes fewer set courses and a substantial research component.

The MBA is offered at the Nathan (Brisbane) and Gold Coast (Southport) campuses, on a part-time and full-time basis. This MBA is recognised by the Australian Human Resources Institute, Graduate Management Association, Institute of Company Secretaries, the Australian Institute of Company Directors and other important professional associations and institutes.

Several hundred students are enrolled in MBA and related programs with more than a third of them from abroad. In an increasingly competitive marketplace, the MBA and related programs recruit growing numbers. This performance reflects Griffith University's reputation and the quality of its teaching, research and service.

MBA (International)
Griffith also offers the MBA (International), at its Gold Coast campus. It is designed primarily to recruit academically well qualified young people who may not have the work experience required for entry into the original MBA.

Master of Technology Management (MTM)
The Graduate School of Management also offers the Master of Technology Management degree; this is taught in Australia and Singapore. The Graduate School also provides students with opportunities to link their MTM studies with the MBA by choosing management related courses

Master of International Business (MIB)
The School of International Business in collaboration with the GSM launched the new MIB at the Nathan Campus in 2001.

Industry Linkages
The Graduate School of Management interacts with the corporate and government sectors by providing management development, research and consultancy services. Some of our current industry partners include the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Management, McDonalds, Mirvac, Queensland Rail, Sunland Corporation, Telstra and Toyota.

The University has a Business Advisory Group of senior industry leaders who ensure that our management programs are up-to-date and relevant to the needs of industry. In addition the Graduate School of Management has its own cadre of business advisors who provide many valuable services to the School such as guest lectures, hosting business functions, advising on program content and assisting with fundraising.
