Welcome to NMIT - Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE. NMIT is a large multi-campus, government funded institution providing a broad range of accredited vocational education and training at six campuses in the central and northern metropolitan regions of Melbourne.
NMIT’s main campuses at Collingwood and Preston are located within easy reach of the central business district of Melbourne and are well serviced by the public transport system. The campuses are also conveniently close to major shopping centres, restaurants and entertainment facilities.
NMIT has excellent resources which include some of the latest technological developments. Included in these resources are two industrial robots, fully equipped laboratories and workshops, audio visual equipment and studio, language laboratory, mainframe and personal computer rooms. These facilities are supported by a modern well equipped library.
Additionally, NMIT has opened two course specific training centres: the Tourism & Hospitality Centre and the Manufacturing Engineering and Building Industries Training Centre.

IS NMIT A GOOD AND WIDELY RECOGNISED TAFE IN MELBOURNE COMPARED TO OTHER TAFES? WILL IT BE EASEIR TO GET ACCEPTED IN A DEGREE COURSE AFTER GOIN TO NMIT OR DOES IT HAVE A BAD REPUTATUION?
